Airtime FAQs
Here’s everything you need to know about the Airtime app, earning rewards and saving money on your mobile bill...
What is the Airtime app?
Airtime is a free rewards app, developed to help you save money on your mobile bill.
We’ve partnered with over 200 of the nation’s favourite brands, so when you spend you’ll earn rewards which can be redeemed against your mobile bill. Simply use your linked card/s, Apple Pay or Google Pay when shopping with our brands and our tech will track and reward your spend.
Airtime members have already saved over £40 million on their bills!
How does it work?
You can sign up to join Airtime via the app store, My O2 app or EE app.
To start earning rewards, you'll need to link at least one of your debit or credit cards. You can add up to 10 Visa or Mastercards to your account, free of charge. Note: Cards can take up to 24 hours to become active on your account.
Once your card is active, you can start spending at our 200+ brands! Our cutting-edge technology tracks your transactions and works out how much to reward you. Once your transaction has been tracked, we’ll add the rewards to your pending balance.
The rewards will move into your current balance once the pending period is up. The pending period is the amount of time between your purchase being tracked and the transaction completing - often 35 days.
Transactions will not show on your account straight away - it can take up to 14 days for transactions to reach our system. We’ll notify you via push message when it arrives.
Make sure you have push notifications turned on so we can let you know when we’ve tracked a purchase.
Why do I need to link a card?
You need to connect at least one card so we can track your purchases and reward you. Without a linked card, we won't be able to reward you and you won’t save money on your bill!
We can only see the transactions you make with our retailers so we can reward you - we can't see anything else! We will never share or sell your data to a third party.
Is Airtime safe?
Yes, your security is our priority. We're official partners of Visa and Mastercard and we stick to the strictest security standards (PCI Level 1 compliance), so you can rest assured that your details are safe.
You can remove a card at any time and we never store your card data.
Is Airtime legit?
Yes! Getting automatically rewarded for your spending may seem too good to be true, but our card-linking technology means we can reward you seamlessly (with no fees or cost to you!).
Is Airtime free?
Yes, the Airtime app is completely free and we’ll never charge you a penny for using our services.
We only ask for your card details to track your purchases and reward you!
How does Airtime make money?
You’re probably wondering if it’s free, how does Airtime make money?
Every time we reward you for making a transaction at one of our partner brands, we receive a small commission from the brand. This means we can keep our service free and keep rewarding you! A win-win.
How many brands can I earn rewards with?
We've partnered with over 200 top UK brands including Boots, Argos, Deliveroo, ASOS and IKEA. From daily essentials to special treats, whatever you’re looking to buy, we've got you covered.

Why do my friends/family have different offers to me?
Unfortunately, not all brand offers are available to everyone. This can be due to our partner brands having varying budgets, having trial offer periods or targeting specific members to align with their objectives. As always, we continue to work closely with our partners to be able to open up as many offers as possible.
Why do I no longer have a certain offer?
Like all good things, offers must sometimes come to an end. This is at the brand's discretion and they may decide to pause offers due to changing budgets and objectives.
A paused offer doesn't mean it's gone forever! Keep an eye out on the app and in our comms for returning brands.
Why do transactions take so long to complete?
We know that it can be frustrating having to wait up to 90 days for your transactions to complete and for your rewards to be added to your current balance. Pending periods are chosen according to a brand's refund policy which is why they vary.
By visiting 'Transaction History' within the 'Rewards' section, you can click on your transaction which will give you an accurate countdown as to when it will complete and become available for redemption. At this point, if you have met your network's redemption threshold you can redeem the rewards from that transaction. However, sometimes we have to extend the completion time for various reasons.
When will my redemption appear on my bill?
Your rewards will appear on your next generated phone bill. If you redeem after your bill has been generated for that month, it will appear on the next month's phone bill and NOT the current month.
We hope that's covered all of your questions but if you've got any more, get in touch at support@airtimerewards.com and we'll be happy to help!
In the meantime, you can download the app via the App Store or Google Play or link a card here (if you haven't already!)
